Protection of Mice by Interferon against Systemic Virus Infections.

چکیده
not known. It is conceivable that the heat from the placenta on the anterior wall of a uterus might soak through a thin abdominal wall, but it is difficult to understand how thermal contours were altered by a placenta situated upon the posterior uterine wall of an obese patient with hydramnios as in Case 2. The radiator effect of the umbilicus has been mentioned, but this question remains open and is the subject of further investigation. It is just possible that the vasomotor nervous system is involved to a large extent.

Immunologic Evaluation of DNA Vaccine Encoding Influenza Virus M2 Gene in Type A- Influenza Mice Model
Abstract Background and Objective: The M2 gene expressing the conserved protein in influenza virus can be used to make a single-dose vaccine with permanent immunity. Material and Methods: The mice were allocated to one case group immunized with pcDNA3-M2 and two control groups with pcDNA and PBS, in three dozes with interval of two weeks. Two weeks after the last injection, Cellular imm...
متن کاملAntiviral protection by vesicular stomatitis virus-specific antibodies in alpha/beta interferon receptor-deficient mice.
The role of innate, alpha/beta interferon (IFN-alpha/beta)-dependent protection versus specific antibody-mediated protection against vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV) was evaluated in IFN-alpha/beta receptor-deficient mice (IFN-alpha/beta R0/0 mice). VSV is a close relative to rabies virus that causes neurological disease in mice. In contrast to normal mice, IFN-alpha/beta R0/0 mice were highly ...
متن کاملProtection of mice against viral infection by Corynebacterium parvum and Bordetella pertussis.
Mice could be significantly protected against infection with herpes simplex virus (HSV) by i.p. or i.v. injection of killed Corynebacterium parvum 7 days before infection. This protection was seen in inbred strains of mice with a different degree of sensitivity to HSV and after both i.p. and i.v. infection. Resistant mice immunosuppressed by X-irradiation and showing an increased susceptibility...
متن کاملMucosal and parenteral vaccination against acute and latent murine cytomegalovirus (MCMV) infection by using an attenuated MCMV mutant.
We used a live attenuated murine cytomegalovirus (MCMV) mutant to analyze mechanisms of vaccination against acute and latent CMV infection. We selected MCMV mutant RV7 as a vaccine candidate since this virus grows well in tissue culture but is profoundly attenuated for growth in normal and severe combined immunodeficient (SCID) mice (V. J. Cavanaugh et al., J. Virol. 70:1365-1374, 1996). BALB/c...
متن کاملNK and NKT cell-independent contribution of interleukin-15 to innate protection against mucosal viral infection.
Interleukin-15 (IL-15) is essential for the development, maturation, and function of NK and NKT cells, which are critical components of the innate immune defense against viral infections. We recently showed that mice lacking IL-15 and/or NK/NKT cells are significantly more susceptible to intravaginal (IVAG) herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) infection than control mice. For this study, we exam...
متن کاملImmunogenicity Evaluation of a DNA Vaccine Expressing the Hepatitis C Virus Non-Structural Protein 2 Gene in C57BL/6 Mice
Backgrounds: Most of the hepatitis C virus (HCV) infections elicit poor immune responses and 75% to 85% of cases become chronic therefore, the development of an effective vaccine against HCV is of paramount importance. In this study, we aimed to evaluate co-administration of HCV non-Structural Protein 2 and IL-12 DNA vaccines in C57BL/6 mice. Methods: A plasmid encoding full-length HCV NS2 prot...
